How to use CrimsonCash on Grubhub
One of the most convenient features of the CrimsonCard is the ability to use it as a form of payment. To begin making purchases, a deposit must be made into the CrimsonCash account. This account is a declining balance account where funds (CrimsonCash) must be present in order to make a transaction.
To activate your CrimsonCash account, just make a deposit using one of the following options:
Credit Card:Deposit funds into your CrimsonCash account using MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB, or Discover. Anyone can deposit money into your account using this option including family and friends. A $2.50 transaction fee applies.
Bursar:This option is limited to students enrolled at Indiana University. Students may load up to $1750 into their CrimsonCash account each Bursar term, provided the Bursar account remains in good standing and has not become past due.
Payroll Prepaid:This option is available to Indiana University employees other than employees in a “no-pay” status. Eligible employees can add funds to their CrimsonCash account by authorizing a recurring deduction from each paycheck up to a predetermined limit ($150 for employees paid monthly and $75 for employees paid bi-weekly).
Yes! You’ll have access to any restaurant on the nationwide Grubhub network, including; numerous merchants in your local area, as well as the 280k+ merchants nationwide. This means you can enjoy using your CrimsonCash on Grubhub not just in Indiana, but wherever you are!

One of the perks of Grubhub+ is you will never pay delivery fees when ordering from Grubhub+ restaurants. Free delivery restaurants will have GH+ by their names. You can filter your search for eligible restaurants only. All other fees (service fees, etc.) are still charged as shown when you place a Grubhub order.
Anyone who affiliates with an IU campus and adds CrimsonCash as a payment option is eligible to get the Grubhub+ Membership* at no cost! Benefits of the Grubhub+ membership includes free delivery from Grubhub+ restaurants, plus additional perks!

Those wanting to have food from IU Dining locations delivered to their residence hall by Grubhub, must use CrimsonCash to pay for their purchase.
Per the CrimsonCard Terms and Conditions, CrimsonCash may NOT be used for purchasing alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, e-cigarettes, lottery tickets, gift cards, money orders or travelers’ checks.
If a restricted item is added to your order, CrimsonCash will automatically be removed as an available payment option.
As with any Grubhub order you can decide how much you want to tip. The app gives you the option to adjust the tip from the suggested percentage to another suggested percentage or a custom tip amount. Your order will process in one transaction on your CrimsonCard so, you will see the total for your order, fees, applicable tax, and tip amount (as selected) processed in one total amount.
If you do not have adequate funds in your CrimsonCash account, your Grubhub order will not process.
