Replacing Your CrimsonCard

Lost or stolen cards

If your CrimsonCard is lost or stolen, call (317) 274-0400 or deactivate it online immediately to ensure campus safety and personal security. A replacement card can be obtained for a $25 fee. 

Damaged cards

Malfunctioning CrimsonCards (worn magstripe, faulty smart chip) will be replaced at no cost. However, a $25 replacement fee is required for visibly damaged cards (i.e. broken, chewed, hole punched).

Expired cards

Expired cards can be renewed at no cost any time during or after the expiration month. 

Name or employee departmental change

If your name changes or you transfer to another department within IU, you can get an updated CrimsonCard at no cost. For name changes, be sure to update your preferred name 24 hours prior to requesting a new card.
